Carla was living in a home that no longer felt safe for her two young boys. She bravely left without knowing where she’d go next and found her way to Samaritan Resource Center.

With the guidance of one of our case managers, Carla mapped out a plan to stand on her own two feet. After a little help from us toward move-in costs, she and her boys settled into a new apartment, one that she could sustain on her own. The place was just right, with room to play for the boys and the internet connection she needed for her remote job. Thanks to a gift from AdventHealth, her family also received a new TV to help make the place feel like home.

Carla’s strength carried her family through. She chose her sons, and now they have a home to grow up in.
