The Samaritan Resource Center (SRC) along with its partner organizations including Orange County and several churches in East Orlando, work in conjunction with many social service agencies throughout Orange County to break the cycle of homelessness and poverty, by meeting the physical and spiritual needs of those in East Orange County who are homeless or who are at risk of homelessness. We are striving to make homelessness in Central Florida rare, brief and one-time.
The Samaritan Resource Center operates Monday to Thursday from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
Please contact the SRC for any questions at 407-482-0600 or visit us at 9837 East Colonial Drive, Orlando, FL 32817.

You can help by volunteering a few hours a day and/or donating women and men’s clothing such as socks, pants, jackets, underwear, personal hygiene items, shirts t-shirts and tops for men and women and of course your monetary donations will be of countless help.

This week we have even more great news! Volunteers at the SRC went and helped our friend Hugo clean out his house last week. It seems like a little task, but it will have a big impact for Hugo and a couple of our other clients! Hugo can now rent out rooms to other clients who need housing, and in return, Hugo will be receiving some income from the rentals. It’s a win-win for everyone this week! Having a wonderful week everyone! Thank you for allowing us to help Hugo and so many others like him.
Please meet our friend Sharon. Sharon is a wonderful client of ours who is 71 years young! She has been sleeping in her car for the last two years, but luckily, she was recently approved for housing! Yay! Congratulations Sharon! We are so excited for you! This week we would also love to thank the Central Florida Navy League for their generous donation to the Samaritan Resource Center. Thank you for allowing us to help Sharon and so many others like her.
Randy is a client of ours that was homeless for over 14 years. We are excited to announce that we were able to help him find housing about a month ago. He has been recently employed by Ace Staffing and has been working very hard to get back on his feet! Congrats Randy, we’re all very proud of you!
Thank you for allowing us to help Randy and so many others like him.
Our friend Aaron struggled to find a job because he was often let go when they discovered he was homeless. We are so excited to announce that he is now employed with Boardwalk Bowl! As we previously posted about Aaron, he also volunteers much of his time at the Samaritan Resource Center and has continued to do so even though he is now employed. Aaron we are so lucky to have you and so VERY proud of you for your new job! Congrats!
Good news! This morning we want to congratulate David on his recent employment! He has been employed by Taylor Farms and is working 50 hours per week!
