After losing multiple jobs back-to-back, Tanya fell behind on rent and faced the real possibility of losing her home. She didn’t wait for things to turn around on their own. She took a full-time position right away, trying to maintain some income while she searched for something more sustainable.
 
It paid off. Tanya was offered a new supervisory role in a career shift that changed everything for her household’s stability.
 
Samaritan Resource Center stepped in with rental assistance to cover past due rent from May through July, bridging the gap while Tanya waited for her first paycheck in her new role.
 
Today, Tanya is done going from one crisis to the next. She’s building something steady — a career, a stable home, and a future she can count on. We love it when we can prevent someone from experiencing homelessness.

Samaritan Resource Center (SRC) is a drop-in resource center serving individuals and families experiencing or at risk of homelessness in East Orange County.

As a faith-based organization, we provide compassionate, housing-focused support through case management, mental health counseling, healthcare, employment services, street outreach, and daily access to essential resources such as meals, clothing, showers, laundry, mail services and hygiene supplies—helping our neighbors take the next step toward stability and self-sufficiency.
