Volunteers are at the heart of our mission!

Most of our volunteer roles are hands-on and active: you might be greeting clients at the front desk, sorting donations, distributing clothing, packing pantry bags, picking up food, or serving a hot meal. Shifts are typically a few hours, split into morning and afternoon shifts. No experience is necessary; we’re just looking for a willing heart and a readiness to roll up your sleeves.

What makes volunteering at Samaritan Resource Center special is the community you step into. With 30+ volunteers showing up every week, you’ll be joining a committed crew of neighbors who believe that everyone deserves to be seen and treated with dignity. Our service work is personal. You’ll get to know the people you’re serving by name, and they’ll get to know you. For many of our clients, a familiar face and a warm meal is one of the most consistent things in their day.
